Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Qc, December 6th 2022 - Anthony Mainville, President of AttriX - Canada's #1 Geotab Partner in Transportation and Compliance, will chair the Zero Emission Trucking Community of Interest for Propulsion Québec, partaking in the common reflection about the electrification of freight transportation. Both members and influential industry stakeholders will participate in the development of concrete solutions to address the obstacles to the electrification of medium and heavy vehicles in Quebec.
Mr. Mainville, with the support of a group of experts, will lead a common reflection on the electrification of medium and heavy vehicles in Quebec and the solutions to address the obstacles associated with it.
With his extensive expertise in transportation, compliance and advanced knowledge of telematics, Mr. Mainville wishes to bring together the knowledge of key collaborators in the field; governments, suppliers and operators, to contribute to the transition towards the electrification of commercial vehicle fleets. This initiative led by Propulsion Québec represents an important opportunity for the province and its businesses, from an economic, entrepreneurial and environmental perspective.
In 2019, medium and heavy-duty vehicles alone were responsible for 68.8% of road transportation emissions, making them a key area for reflection and action in the months ahead:
"Thanks to the ambitious support of the Government of Quebec and organizations such as Propulsion Quebec, our province holds a natural wealth of talent and innovators in electric and intelligent transportation technologies, allowing us to enjoy a considerable global lead in the IET industry. By bringing together the industry, operators and partners such as Cleo, Hydro-Quebec's transportation electrification subsidiary, as well as the experience gained in the electrification of bus transportation, we will be able to develop a winning strategy to support operators and manufacturers and maintain our lead in the energy transition of transportation. "Said Anthony Mainville, President of Attrix and the Zero Emission Trucking IC.
This is why the initiative to join forces will allow Quebec to stay ahead of the rest of North America in the electric and intelligent transition of ground transportation vehicles. The Zero Emission Trucking Community of Interest led by AttriX Technologies will enhance existing initiatives to fully engage in the electrification process.
