Regulation for June 7th FMCSA

Featured Image

Congress could meddle with the review process by trying to protect the 30-minute break requirement. Meanwhile, FMCSA has put in place a rule to permanently bury the 2013 regulations limiting the use of a 34-hour reboot.

It also appears that the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will not be ready for the June 7 review to present its proposed overhaul of hours of service regulations and allow the public to comment on it. There are only two days left on that date in the White House Management and Budget Office, which has not yet approved this proposal, which it must do before FMCSA publishes the document.

Of course, it could all be approved on Thursday, and the FMCSA may be quick to issue the regulatory proposal notice, but such documents generally take several days to be released after approval.

To follow for June 7th
