Mont-Saint-Hilaire, QC, January 6th, 2021 – A well-established and reputable carrier in the Danville area of Quebec, Grayson specializes in the transportation of general cargo to serve its extensive customer base throughout Canada and the United States. About two years ago, Grayson’s transportation team decided to rely on AttriX to integrate a fleet management telematics solution to maximize the efficiency and compliance of their operations.

To learn more about the success of this deployment, AttriX spoke with Réjean Fontaine, Grayson Transport’s Compliance Manager.

Ensuring an early transition to digital compliance

Fontaine says the transport company was looking to integrate the introduction of e-logging as soon as possible to ensure the transition to digital compliance prior to the ECD mandate date. “We wanted to ensure our electronic compliance as quickly as possible, so that we wouldn’t be in a hurry to train our drivers a few months before the law was passed,” says the Compliance Manager.

He adds that Grayson Transport was primarily interested in the AttriX solution because of its versatility and the simplicity of the Geotab system.

A real-time field assessment

“What we like most about this telematics solution is the output of productivity reports. We have access to a lot of reports, which gives us a good overview of what’s going on with our trucks in real time,” said Mr. Fontaine.

123 trucks were dispatched using AttriX’s DCE packages, along with the Administrator training program provided by our team. “The administrator training gave me a better understanding of the Geotab software so I was able to teach it to my fleet drivers, in addition to ensuring better management,” concludes Réjean Fontaine.
