On December 5th and 6th, AttriX held a new product presentation as well as its Annual Christmas Cocktail for its clients in Eastern Quebec.

Held at the Levis Convention Center, the AttriX Team presented an array of new features an update built by its team over the past months and focused on its Garmin fleet™790 and Trailer Tracking solutions.

First part of the event, animated by Alexandre Cayer Desforges, underlined the amazing success of the Grand Prix Driver Challenge and what AttriX has in preparation for its clients’ best drivers for the 2019 edition. Amongst the many additions, the events will focus not only on the drivers but also their families, as the Grand Prix evolves towards a day-long recognition party for not only our client’s drivers, but their families as well.

“Our focus moving forward is towards helping our fleets recognize their drivers, thus assisting their recruiting and retention efforts, by recognizing not only the driver’s efforts but their families who also make significant sacrifices due to the long absences of drivers during their routes.

It’s not only about telematics and compliance, recruitment and driver retention is presently the biggest challenge for fleets. We believe The Driver Challenge and our recognition event can be an important asset for our clients to be different and show how important their drivers are’’

Anthony Mainville, President of AttriX, then took the floor to talk in length about the new version of the Garmin fleet™790 with its industry-leading unlimited data plans and his latest project. That project is GoSight; a fully integrated DashCam which enable managers to remotely access the in-cab front video feeds related to any driving events for advanced driver coaching or to assure prompt analysis and response in case of an accident.

First part of the Garmin presentation showed how the Garmin Mapping feature offers industry leading, truck specific routing including Truck Specific POI’s like refueling stations, parking, restaurants, bridge heights and NoTruck followed by important safety features like collision and lane deviation alert which are a significant assistance in cases of distracted driving.

“The Garmin fleet™790 has been fully designed for Truck Drivers. Its truck specific navigation and alerts are amongst the most popular and proven in the industry, combined with Geotab Drive, our AttriX add-ins and industry leading SOTI MobiControl MDM, we believe the Garmin Fleet 790 is the best tool for a Truck Drivers daily task.’’ Explains Anthony Mainville.

GoSight was the highlight of the presentation, demonstrating how AttriX’s industry leading engineers took full advantage of the Garmin and Geotab SDK to develop an all in one full DashCam integration by harnessing the power of the Garmin fleet™790.

Thanks to its full HD forward facing camera, GoSight enables continuous event recording as well as driver selectable events to be recorded, securely stored within the AttriX cloud and remotely accessible by a manager via their MyGeotab ecosystem.

Managers can remotely access enhanced videos of an event synced with telematics, mapping and weather data to enable managers to coach their drivers or do in-depth event analysis in case of an accident.

‘’As Insurance premiums are continuously increasing, Front Facing video capture combined with advanced telematics will be important tools moving forward to show better collaboration with a fleet insurance partner which might result in better rates and defense in case of an accident. ‘’ Mentions Anthony Mainville.

The GoSight add-in gives Garmin fleet™790 users a fully Geotab Integrated front-facing video solutions without the need to add an expensive external camera, in addition, leveraging the Garmin’s unlimited data plan. GoSight can be added for a cost of only 10$/month, making it a safety feature fleet managers can easily add to their operating costs. ‘’We made sure GoSight was a no-brainer when choosing the Garmin fleet™790.” explained AttriX’s President to its audience.

For the second portion of the presentation, the training specialist Mélanie Cadieux, covered the extensive updates of the Geotab Drive 1804 update. Geotab Drive is the Driver Specific portion of the AttriX solution and assures support for Hours of Service and PreTrips.

‘’1804 is one of the richest features updates of the year and adds many Canadian HOS enhancements that our drivers have been waiting for as well as a richer driver UI environment.’’ Explained Melanie Cadieux.

Being one of the largest challenge within the industry, the product specialist Charles Depelteau demonstrated the full possibilities of AttriX trailer tracking solutions such as Blackberry Radar and the soon to be released BeWhere integration. Charles Depelteau showed how evolved trailer tracking has become and not only showing where a fleet trailers are positioned, but also how to optimize each unit or even reduce a fleet asset on usage-based reporting thanks to Blackberry Radar.

Following was the ‘’And One More Thing’’ portion of the presentation where the VP of Technology, Louis-Philippe Papillon, discussed what his team was working on for early 2019, including an advanced and fully integrated activity sheet which synchronizes a driver assigned pick-ups and deliveries with the carriers TMS/Dispatching solution. Assuring optimized routing with Garmin’s Truck Specific Navigation and an optimized workflow maximizing the full benefits of the AttriX ecosystem.

‘’GoRoute is already being integrated with our premium dispatching partners like Unicom, JFleet and Dispatch Mate going forward to our objective of starting working with other national partners in early 2019. This project has been the most significant request from our clients and has only been recently possible the way we had envisioned it thanks to the collaboration with Garmin. We are very excited about this project and the response the few test clients have had towards it’’, said Louis-Philippe Papillon in front of a smiling audience.

The event was followed by a Christmas Cocktail and MVP award ceremony, recognizing our Most Valuable Partners for the 2018 period.

The next morning, AttriX met with its AttriX Ambassador Clients to turn ver the microphone to its most involved clients and hear what they expect of the team in its development, support and training during the upcoming 2019 year. Participants were great at the opportunity to share their thoughts, challenges and most importantly; to be heard. Anthony Mainville emphasizes that AttriX’s success is thanks to the special involvement and passion of its clients. Only with their participation, will we continue growing at such an amazing pace.
